Being one of the longest-standing business partners of Shell Hong Kong, for many years, the Wan family has been working with Shell Hong Kong to provide services to customers in Hong Kong.

 

As early as the end of the 1930s, Wan Kau Kee had started selling petroleum products in Guangzhou.  After moving to Hong Kong in the 1940s, they continued to sell Shell's products.

Initially, Wan Kau Kee sold lubricant, naphtha, synthetic rubber and many other chemical solvents such as thinner and kerosene, which were common cooking fuels at the time.  Later, Shell Hong Kong appointed Wan Kau Kee as its agent for the sale of Shell's petroleum products.  

 

Since then, Wan Kau Kee has been selling and distributing bottled liquefied petroleum gas the Kowloon area, and gradually transitioned to operating a LPG distribution network and Shell's gas station business.
